Draft Consultation Bill - Criminal Code Amendment (Sexual Offences) Bill

The Northern Territory Government is proposing to reform its criminal law offences so that they accord with the principles contained in the Model Criminal Code as developed by Australia’s Attorneys-General Ministerial Council. As part of these reforms the NT Department of the Attorney-General and Justice is consulting on the draft Criminal Law Amendment (Sexual Offences) Bill 2014. This draft Bill deals with the sexual offences and related offences of the Criminal Code.
The draft Bill is accompanied by brief summary paper identifying the relationship between the offences in the draft Bill and those in the current Criminal Code and the Model Criminal Code.
