Draft Bill: Legal Practitioners Act 2006

This Bill is a discussion draft of the Bill for the proposed Legal Practitioners Act 2006.
The main purpose of the proposed legislation is to implement the national model Legal Profession Bill as developed by the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General over the period 2004-2006.
The model is designed to ensure that common rules regarding the practice of the law apply in each of the States and Territories that enact the law.
