Have Your Say about the future of the Community Justice Centre

Published

The Community Justice Centre is under review.

Earlier this year there was a proposal to reduce Community Justice Centre services to only mediating court-referred personal violence matters, and to closing the Centre in Casuarina. Under the proposal, civil mediation services, training and accreditation services, community peacemaking and restorative conferencing would no longer be available. The Centre in Casuarina would also close.

The proposal is now on hold to reassess the potential impact reducing these services, and to consider what opportunities may be lost with that decision.
