Discussion Paper: Unauthorised Photographs on the Internet and Ancillary Privacy Issues

Consultation is now closed.

The Attorney-General has released a discussion paper seeking comment on the issue of the unauthorised publication of photographs on the Internet, including ancillary privacy issues. 

This issue has been highlighted recently with unauthorised photographs of children being posted on websites with links to pornographic sites and mobile phone cameras being used surreptitiously in change rooms etc. 

The paper was developed at the request of the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General and will be released nation-wide.

The closing date for comment is 14 October 2005.
